Plasticizers are inert organic substance with low vapor pressure, predominantly esters or polyesters, which interact physically with high polymers (PVC, NR, NBR, PVA, etc.) to form a homogeneous material and modifying its mechanical and thermal properties. A plasticizer may reduce the melt viscosity, lower the glass transition or lower the elastic modulus of the final product.
